Harry C. Spearman started his financial career in 1968 after serving two years in the United States Army. His initial specialty was in automobile and mobile home financing. In 1976, Spearman realized his experience had prepared him for his life’s work, the mortgage brokerage business. He obtained his mortgage brokers license in1976 and started Gulfstream… Your Mortgage Source in 1979. He celebrates many years as a mortgage broker helping people purchase homes, making money available for home improvements and restructuring debt, or for purchasing business property as well as business expansion. However, he is more proud of his family.

His wife and business partner, Mary Spearman has served on the executive committee of the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers for 6 years. His sons, Daniel and Jay have been a true blessing. Their involvement in sports has afforded Harry opportunities to coach Little League Baseball and serve as President of the Seabreeze High School Football Booster Club. Mary Spearman, CMC

Mary W. Spearman founded Gulfstream... Your Mortgage Source in 1979 with her husband, Harry C. Spearman. They have been providing mortgage services in the Central Florida area ever since. Mary obtained the designation of Certified Mortgage Consultant in 1994. The CMC is the highest designation awarded in the mortgage broker industry and demonstrates both knowledge and professionalism.

Mary has been active in the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers both in the local Volusia Chapter and on the State level. She has served as President of the State association having climbed the chairs from Secretary to Treasurer to Vice President to President Elect of the Florida Association. She was awarded "Broker of the Year" award for the State of Florida In 1994. She is also active in the National Association of Mortgage Brokers. She was elected to serve on the Nominating Committee for 2001 and served on the Bylaws Committee in 1999-2000. She served on the finance committee of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers in 2002. The Florida Association of Mortgage Broker received the coveted "State of the Year" award during the year Mary served as State President. She presently serves as Secretary on the Board of the FAMB Education Foundation, which provides free consumer education regarding mortgages.

Mary also works as a consultant providing services to developers and lenders in forming mortgage operations, bringing expertise in compliance with State and Federal laws.

Dan Spearman

Dan Spearman, the son of Gulfstream's owners Harry and Mary Spearman, is a native Floridian. He was born in Jacksonville and raised in the Daytona Beach area having moved here when he was eighteen months old. Dan attended Tomoka Elementary School, Ormond Beach Middle School, and Seabreeze High School. While attending Seabreeze, Dan played football and baseball, he wrestled and participated in weightlifting, track and field, and the Future Farmers of America. He graduated with honors in 1999. After graduation, Dan attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. He worked for the State of Florida Park Service. Later, he traveled the NASCAR circuit with Americrown Service Corporation, a subsidiary of International Speedway Corporation. Dan obtained his mortgage broker license in March 2002 and was named Broker of the Month within his first year of employment. Dan is anxious to help his customers obtain the "American Dream" of owning a home! Daniel is active in the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers and served as the Volusia Chapters Vice President in 2004.

Jay Spearman

Jay Spearman, the youngest son of Gulfstream's owners Harry and Mary Spearman, was born and raised in the Daytona Beach area. Jay played football at Seabreeze High School, playing linebacker and offensive line along side his older brother, Dan. Jay received his mortgage broker license in September of 2005 but has been an employee of Gulfstream since 2001. Jay is active in the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers and aspires to be a Commercial Financial Specialist. He currently brokers commercial and residential loans, with concentration on commercial financing.

Gene Garrard

Gene Garrard is a graduate of Seabreeze High School, Daytona Beach, Florida. He graduated from Florida State University with a Business Marketing degree and currently resides in Daytona.

Gene has an extensive sales background. He is a licensed Mortgage Broker, an active realtor, and a licensed life and health insurance agent. Gene was the top producer at Gulfstream in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005.

He is very active in the community and takes great pride in helping his customers with their mortgage financing needs. Gene is available to his customers for evening and weekend appointments, if needed. He treats his customers the way he would want to be treated.

Arva Sue Ferguson is from Salt Lake City, Utah. She moved to Florida in 1990. Arva has been in the mortgage lending business since 1992. Arva gained valuable experience in all phases of mortgage lending while employed by a major national lender. Arva obtained her mortgage broker license in 2001 and joined the team at Gulfstream...Your Mortgage Source. She is excited to offer many options and a variety of lenders to meet her customer's needs. Michelle Terzynski

Michelle Terzynski and her husband Ray moved to Ormond Beach in 1979 to open Microwave Cooking Etc., two specialty stores in Ormond Beach and Pt. Orange.

Michelle has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami, Coral Gables. In 1992 she joined Ray as a licensed agent in Ray Terzynski Insurance Services. She joined Gulfstream as a licensed Mortgage Broker in 2004. She and Ray have been married 30 years, with one son, Brett. Michelle is ready to find the right loan to fit your needs.

Carol Hall

Carol Hall is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. Carol moved to Daytona Beach in March of 2002. She graduated from Paulding County High School in Dallas, Georgia and attended Georgia Community College for two years in pursuit of her business degree.

From 1991 to 2002, she owned her own restaurant, Benefield's Eatery and Saloon, in Griffin, Georgia. She was also a Realtor with Coldwell Banker from 2000-2002. Prior to being full time in the restaurant business, Carol was Office Manager for a well-known group of corporate psychologists in Atlanta.

Carol came to Gulfstream in January of 2004, as a loan processor and bookkeeper, and has since completed the mortgage loan broker course and received her broker's license. Carol brings with her a variety of experience and is conscientious and enthusiastic in helping her customers.

Bill McLendon

Bill McLendon began his career in lending in 1978 with a national finance company. There he learned the intricacies of automobile and mobile home financing. A year later he became a loan officer with one of the largest saving and loan associations in Florida. While there, he was involved in the acquisition and development of several upscale condominiums and subdivisions throughout the area. His experience in construction offered him an opportunity to work closely with builders. He oversaw draw schedules and was responsible for the eventual approval of prospective buyers.

These responsibilities equipped him with valuable experience and knowledge in all phases of mortgage lending. To Bill, it’s about commitment to and hard work for the customer.

He has been married to Sheila for over thirty years and they have three children.

Krista Hollowell

Krista Hollowell is originally from the Seattle, Washington area. She graduated in 2000 from Liberty High School and continued her education at Gonzaga University prior to moving to the Daytona Beach area over three years ago.

Since that time, she has been working as a loan processor with Gulfstream...Your Mortgage Source. Krista is excited to have been given the chance to start a career in the mortgage industry. Krista married her husband, Mike, in May 2005 after he graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Together, they enjoy spending time at the beach and playing with their dachshund, Kip. Krista and Mike are currently expecting their first child in October 2006.

Preston J. McCready was born in Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida and has lived in Ormond Beach his entire life. He graduated from Seabreeze High School in 1997 where he was heavily involved in the Future Farmers of America. He served as Vice President during his senior year. Preston graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 1999 with a degree in Golf Turf Management. Since graduation he has worked in the golf turf industry until coming to work with Gulfstream.

Preston obtained his mortgage brokers license through the State of Florida in 2006 and immediately became active in the business. He has joined the Affiliate Committee of the Board of Realtors and worked on the "Back to School Adopt a Child" program. Preston is a huge University of Florida Gator fan. His other interests include sports, fishing, hunting and cars.

Tyler Holley

Tyler Holley was born in Morgan City, Louisiana and in 1995 moved to Daytona Beach where he graduated from Seabreeze High School. Tyler also attended the University of North Florida and obtained a BA in Psychology with a minor in Business. He has a love for baseball and currently plays for the Daytona Beach Yankees/Rangers in the MABL and NABA leagues. The team currently holds a 2004 National Championship at the Fall Classic and will compete at the 2006 World Series Tournement held in Tempe Arizona in October.

Tyler is the newest licensed mortgage broker at Gulfstream. His concentration will be residential and condo loans. He says his favorite thing about being a mortgage broker is that it is not just another job, it's a lifestyle. He is very driven and ambitious and understands the importance of reliability. Russell (Russ) Myers is truly a rare person, he is a native Floridian. Before entering banking, Myers was honorably discharged and an officer in the U.S. Army. His service to the citizens of Volusia County began in 1973. At that time he handled various financing requests, including mortgages. For the last 12 years he dealt exclusively with mortgage loan requests.

Myers treats each customer the way he likes to be treated. He is competent, empathetic and operates with a high ethical standard. One of Myers great joys is matching his customer up with exactly the right programs. This is accomplished by actually listening to his customer and then diligently researching the market place for just the right loan. Russ is married with two adult children, but his pride and joy is his first grandchild Logan.
